Our Founders

The Still & Moving Meditation Fellowship was founded by three dedicated leaders whose lives and work embody the Fellowship’s mission of cultivating presence, compassion, and sacred connection through both stillness and movement.

Renée Tillotson, founder of Still & Moving Center in Honolulu in 2011, has spent her life exploring the transformative power of mindful movement. After an eleven-year gymnastics career, she discovered Nia in 2002 and went on to achieve the highest level of certification as a Nia Black Belt, Second Degree teacher. In 2021, she founded the Academy of Mindful Movement to train teachers to lead with presence and intention. For Renée, movement is a form of meditation and joy, and her vision of creating a sacred space for both still and moving meditation remains at the heart of the Fellowship.

Dustin Hara, General Manager of Still & Moving, brings a lifelong passion for music, faith, and service. Raised by preacher parents who recognized his early musical talent, Dustin overcame his own struggles with confidence to discover his voice as a musician and performer. He has toured nationally, sharing music in churches, jails, and hospice settings, and has performed alongside artists including Janet Jackson, The Winans, Kirk Franklin, and Donnie McClurkin. Today, Dustin inspires others to find confidence in their own voices while contributing his leadership, musical gifts, and deep spiritual foundation to the Fellowship community.

Kumu Mālia Ko iʻulaokawaolehua Helelā is a respected Hawaiian cultural practitioner, kumu hula, and licensed massage therapist whose work reflects grace, tradition, and deep connection to the sacred. She completed her uniki under Kumu Hula Puluelo Park in 2002 and teaches hula and oli to students of all ages through her hālau, Nā Hula Ola Aloha. Licensed as a massage therapist since 1998, Mālia views her practices of hula and lomilomi as one and the same: pathways of healing, presence, and spiritual connection. Grounded in the beauty and wisdom of Hawaiʻi, she brings cultural knowledge, compassion, and steadfast leadership to the Fellowship.

Together, Renée, Dustin, and Mālia guide the Still & Moving Meditation Fellowship as a non-denominational community dedicated to meditation, sacred practice, and meaningful human connection. Their combined gifts create a welcoming space where people of all backgrounds can explore the dimensions of the sacred and grow together in fellowship.
